Video ScriptResin based photographic inkjet paper with a satin finish. Enables social photographers to introduce digitally enhanced prints into an existing album of Lustre photographic prints. Ultra white base colour for clean whites and widest tonal range. Compatible with dye and pigment inks. My personal impression: This satin / luster / pearl finish paper is my all-time favourite inkjet paper. I have used this paper as my main material in the Lyson Challenge, where I attend Roadshows around the country, attempting to beat or at least improve on the visiting photographer's best prints. – With this paper, I am able to get closer to a true darkroom hand print in colour or black & white: It gives me the ability to create really punchy prints of superb tonality which actually can be compared to a quality darkroom print in a fair side by side comparison – which I have tried on many occasions. Waterproof, instant-dry and super tough surface. As a caution, I would add, that I would only be happy to make these claims when using good quality brand inksets, with a professionally produced custom profile applied – which, let's face it, you should all be using in any case. – If you have any doubts on this issue, you can always phone me or e-mail me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it As in my previous movie, I repeat that the ultra-white of the paper base gives you the best whites you will see in any quality brand inkjet paper, good rich blacks are easily achievable without undue shadow detail blocking, and strong saturated colour , as well as subtle pastle colour and pale flesh tones are smoothly, accurately reproduced. I can produce colour and black & white prints closer to a true chemical photograph with this paper than with any other I have tested. The sheen level is pretty well ideal for lifting the image, whilst not being too much to allow distracting reflections to interfere with the impact of your work. In short, absolutely the best Satin Inkjet Paper I have ever used.. |
